Cooperation history

Karolinska Institute (KI) in Sweden is one of the best single medical schools in the world and one of the top 10 medical schools in the world, undertaking 43% of the country's pharmaceutical academic research. The Nobel Committee of KI is known and annually reviews and awards the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
 

Since October 2014, Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine and the Department of Global Public Health Sciences of Karolinska Institutet in Sweden have officially signed a cooperative research agreement to carry out joint research work and senior talent training in traditional Chinese medicine. The two sides preliminarily established the cooperation content of Chinese medicine prevention and treatment of infectious diseases and other diseases, senior talent training, short-term professional training and other cooperation content.
 
 
Talent team

We jointly trained 5 doctoral students and 10 visiting scholars. Two doctoral students were fully funded by the China Scholarship Council's study abroad program. Co-published 21 SCI indexed papers, with a maximum IF of 9.26.
 
Research progress

(1)Projects

From 2016 to 2017, we cooperated with the project funding of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs. And in 2020, we was funded by the Guangdong Overseas Famous Teachers Program.
 

Clinical studies:

A randomized controlled trial of Sanfutian moxibustion in the treatment of chronic allergic rhinitis. Reanalysis of clinical research data on mild ondria disease.
A systematic review of Chinese medicine for the prevention and treatment of upper respiratory tract infection in patients with chronic kidney disease.
Study on the effect of Chinese medicine intervention on the prognosis of chronic kidney disease. Reanalysis of psoriasis quality of life data.
Analysis of data from randomized controlled trials of Chinese medicine for perimenopausal syndrome.
A comprehensive evaluation study of the effect of Baduanjin cardiac rehabilitation program in patients with chronic heart failure.
Comprehensive evaluation of the effect of pediatric Tuina in the intervention of acute respiratory tract infection.
 

(2)Exchanges

We held a total of 6 seminars and workshops. From 2020 to 2021, we held the International Clinical Scientist Training Program. 22 clinical research methodology training sessions were completed, guiding participants in clinical study design, research protocol writing and statistical analysis.
